HEARING TECHNOLOGY

Cochlear Implants

A cochlear implant is an electronic device that stimulates the auditory nerve through electrodes placed in the cochlea of the inner ear, allowing some severely deaf people to perceive sounds.

Hearing Aids

A hearing aid is a device designed to improve hearing by making sound audible to a person with hearing loss.

BAHA

A BAHA (bone-anchored hearing aid) is a  type of hearing aid based on bone conduction. It is primarily suited for people who have conductive hearing losses, unilateral hearing loss, single-sided deafness and people with mixed hearing losses who cannot otherwise wear 'in the ear' or 'behind the ear' hearing aids.
